Hinckley Fire Museum

On September 1st, 1894, the devastating Great Hinckley Fire tore through a booming logging town and scorched a quarter-million acres in just four hours, wiping out nearly half a dozen communities and claiming at least 418 lives. More than 130 years later, the story of that fierce and fast-moving fire still resonates deeply across Minnesota.
