What students see this fall may depend on a policy fix as Anoka-Hennepin Board considers changes

Figuring out what to teach in Anoka Hennepin social studies classes could now hinge on the revamping of a policy designed to make sure students feel heard in the district. 

It’s called the Respectful Learning Environment Policy, and on Monday night the school board will consider changes as part of a plan to buy new textbooks for the mandatory sixth-grade Minnesota social studies course.
