That’s why a growing number of Minnesota parents are choosing dual-language immersion programs where children learn core subjects while becoming fluent in a second language.
“¿Cuántos deditos escondí?” asked the teacher.
“Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco!” shouted her students in Spanish.
“It’s the coolest thing,” said Thom Bieniek. “I wish I would have had the opportunity… that my parents could have put me into something like this, because that just didn’t exist, you know, 35 years ago.”
