Two Minnesota doctors and their family are among the missing following Nepal floods.

MINNEAPOLIS — Two Minnesota doctors and their two family members are among those missing after devastating flooding in Nepal, according to family and the University of Minnesota. 

Dr. Ishan Patel and his wife, Dr. Akanksha Patel, have been missing for weeks. 

The University of Minnesota said Ishan Patel recently graduated from a fellowship with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. According to a Facebook post from the department, Patel, his mother, Shilpa, his wife and Akanksha Patel’s father, Umeshkumar, were traveling together on a pilgrimage in the region following his graduation.
