A St. Paul man arrested last year after reportedly murdering his child’s mother has pleaded guilty.
Joseph Davis, 35, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder with intent. His sentencing date will be Oct. 26, and prosecutors are seeking a 480-month sentence (40 years), the maximum amount for second-degree murder.
As previously reported, Davis was arrested for killing 33-year-old Christine Morris in May of 2025. Davis allegedly admitted to the crime to a family member.
