A former Minnesota State Patrol trooper was sentenced to 27 years in prison on Tuesday for producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of an infant while wearing his uniform.
Jeremy Francis Plonski was sentenced to 27 years for producing CSAM and 20 years for distributing CSAM, which he will serve concurrently, or at the same time, according to Tuesday’s court records. Plonski will also face 15 years of supervised release after he is released from jail.
According to court records, Plonski made and distributed CSAM with an infant child in April of 2023. Prosecutors say Plonski was wearing his firearm and State Patrol and Army Reservist uniforms during the assaults.
Court records from Plonski’s state case in Scott County say he created CSAM and sent it to a user on Kik, whom he said he was in a relationship with.
