Minnesota United is looking to tighten up defensively after a high-scoring road loss that left coach Cameron Knowles frustrated despite another productive attacking performance.
Speaking ahead of the club’s midweek match against FC Dallas, Knowles said Minnesota remains confident it can rediscover the defensive form that helped fuel its success earlier this season.
“It’s tough,” Knowles said. “You go on the road and you score that many goals and you don’t get nothing out of it.”
While pleased with the club’s recent offensive output, Knowles acknowledged that conceding goals at the current rate is unsustainable.
