This year marks 25 years since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks fundamentally changed American life.
WASHINGTON — Many Americans are expected to tune in Friday to the ceremonies honoring the victims, survivors and first responders in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the 25th anniversary of the generation-defining tragedy.
Starting at 9 a.m. Eastern, the U.S. Army will host a live broadcast of the 9/11 Pentagon Observance Ceremony. The ceremony is not open to the public, but is one of the most significant acknowledgements of the tragedy because one of the four hijacked planes that day crashed into the building, killing 184 people. President Donald is expected to speak during the ceremony.
