NEW YORK — As the country marks 25 years since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, many Americans are expected to tune in Friday to at least one of the ceremonies honoring the victims, survivors and first responders.
In New York, there will be a reading of the names of the 2,977 people who died in the 9/11 attacks. The annual event is one of the most iconic remembrances of the attack's victims, and lasts for several hours with multiple speakers switching out to read portions of the list.
