Woman dies in Stearns County motorcycle crash

A woman in her 50s was found dead after crashing in a Stearns County ditch on Sunday evening.

Stearns County officials say the family of 52-year-old Kelli Jo Gauthier, of Avon, reported her missing around 5:20 p.m. after she didn’t return home from a group motorcycle ride.

Cold Spring-Richmond officers found Gauthier crashed in a ditch off a sweeping left-hand curve on the 25500 block of County Road 9 in Munson Township, about one to two miles north of Richmond, Stearns County officials say.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
