Thyroid medication recalled as product can be 'superpotent,' FDA says

WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration announced a recall for one lot of Vitruvias Therapeutics Inc.'s thyroid tablets as they are "superpotent" and can cause hyperthyroidism. 

In a recall notice Monday, the company said its thyroid tablets, USP 30 mg with the lot number 504950, were potentially superpotent.
