HOUSTON — A Houston man has been charged in connection with a multimillion-dollar check theft scheme that involved recruiting U.S. Postal Service workers. 

Tryston Tremaine Vaughn is accused of recruiting at least three USPS workers to steal checks from the mail they were delivering between October 2023 and September 2024, totaling nearly $24 million, according to court documents.
