WINDOM, Minn. (FOX 9) - Two motorcyclists were seriously injured after hitting a deer in Cottonwood County on Sunday morning.
Deer vs motorcycle crash
What we know:
The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash happened around 10:50 a.m. on northbound Highway 71 at 440th Street in Great Bend Township, near Windom.
The driver of a Honda motorcycle and the driver of a Kawasaki motorcycle were traveling north when they struck a deer.
The 56-year-old woman and 62-year-old man, both from Fairmount, were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
State Patrol says neither motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. Alcohol was not considered a factor, and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
What we don't know:
