Minnesota school bus company kept driving buses deemed ‘unsafe,’ but charges were rarely filed

A Minnesota school bus company repeatedly operated buses that inspectors had deemed too dangerous to drive, but prosecutors rarely filed charges, according to state and court records obtained by 5 INVESTIGATES.

The findings come after a high-profile crash this past spring involving a bus operated by Pride Transportation. The bus, with students on board, lost control and crashed into a building at Hamline University.

The crash injured three kids and an adult.
