MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — Outdoor Retailer, an annual trade show for the outdoor recreation industry, is in Minneapolis for the first time.
Outdoor Retailer left Utah amid a political fight over public lands, then moved to Denver, before moving back to Utah. Now, it's landed in Minneapolis, where it's drawing more than 275 exhibitors and over 550 buyers.
Organizers say they picked Minnesota for a reason: the industry contributed $13.5 billion to the state's economy in 2023 alone.
