It doesn’t look like defending Class 4A state champion Orono has missed a beat this season. The Spartans beat Marshall 20-7 Friday to improve to 6-0 this season.
Hudson Hirt opened the scoring for Orono with a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. They followed that up with a 37-yard touchdown pass from Finn Dyvik to Bennett Halverson later in the 1st quarter.
It remained 14-0 until the third quarter when Dyvik took it himself on a 1-yard quarterback sneak to push the lead to 20-0.
Marshall’s Magnus Schlenner found the endzone in the 4th quarter, but Orono held on for a 20-7 win.
