DULUTH, Minn. — You have to be fast if you want to run Grandma's Marathon.
The Duluth marathon sold all of its 8,000 registration slots in just under three hours. Race organizers say that makes a new record. They also sold out of registration spots for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon (7,500 entries) in just 58 minutes, another record.
Registration opened on Thursday, and within hours, all of the different races under the Grandma's Marathon umbrella were sold out. However, there are still options for runners. People can sign up under the 2027 Charity Partners, where you choose a cause to raise money for.
