Prosecutors say surveillance footage shows Rachel Lowe striking multiple children.

PRIOR LAKE, Minn. — A former daycare employee is facing six charges of malicious punishment of a child due to her conduct at a Prior Lakes facility. 

Scott County prosecutors charged Rachel Ann Lowe, 36, with six gross misdemeanor counts. She worked at New Creations Child Care & Learning when the incidents occurred. 

According to the criminal complaint, a woman called the police after her 4-year-old daughter said her daycare teacher squeezed her arm, leaving a red mark. The woman reported the conduct to the daycare, and the director reviewed surveillance footage and decided to fire Lowe.
