Roseville police are asking for the public’s help regarding a kidnapping and assault that took place earlier this week.

At around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, a woman said she left a business near County Road C and East Snelling Service Drive when she was approached by a masked man with a gun.

The Roseville Police Department said the woman was held captive for several hours and was eventually released on the east side of St. Paul. Authorities added that she was treated at the hospital.

Investigators are asking anyone who saw something unusual in the area of County Road C and East Snelling Service Drive between 3 and 10 p.m. on Wednesday to call police.

In addition, neighbors, businesses and motorists in the area are asked to check surveillance, doorbell or dash-camera video for suspicious activity.
